The MangJing Blang people have high respect for the tea trees. Each household honors the oldest and the most flourishing ancient tea tree on its plantation. According to their custom, every time a new tea garden is opened, they will plant the first tea tree, known as the "Tea Soul Tree."
They are the proof of harmony between the Blang people and nature, the guardians of the ancient tea estate. Ancient tea trees could be found in the proximity of each large tree and nourished with the defoliation of large trees.
